Brokers could hardly ignore Brexit in their quarterly newsletters to customers but some of them hardly add value: “One can only speculate as to how “Brexit” will impact Ireland in the coming months and years.” You don’t need an economist to come up with that, and this is hardly sticking their neck out: “We tentatively think that the “Brexit” impact will knock a quarter to a half-percentage point off economic growth in the short-term. The longer-term implications are too early to tell at this stage.” These people presumably charge for such insights, which look as if they are cut and pasted from one brokerage report to another.
