Source: Exposure by sector

IGEES (Irish Government Economic and Evaluation Service) is a little-known unit in the Department of Finance but they have produced an exceptionally useful 60-page report (October 2016) itemising likely Brexit impact sector by sector. This is important because for the typical decision-maker analyses of the whole Irish economy come second to figuring out what is going to happen to the particular sector. “The UK accounts for just under €14bn, or 15 per cent, of Ireland’s goods exports in 2014, and €20bn, or 20 per cent, of Ireland’s services exports.”Not easy reading, but absolutely essential.
