The ability to drill down to product level is particularly important given the clustering of cross-border trade in the food, drink and tobacco category. AS the pie chart shows it accounts for a bit over half of all goods that move between north and south.

This whole category is covered by tariffs that start at around 10% and go as high as 60%. Given that currency movements of less than 10% have already driven some in the mushroom industry out of business, people need to know the precise tariffs they could be facing as soon as possible. This is a text-book example of how to help people cope with the implications of Brexit by pooling existing expertise.
