Border analysis – from the Daily Telegraph to Aljazeera.
This week the issue of the impact of Brexit on the border in Ireland is reaching a wider audience. It was discussed on Aljazeera social media channel “Stream”. There were political, academic and sectoral contributions underscoring that there was little consideration of the implications for Ireland North and South of the Brexit vote. It is comprehensive, touches on threatening security implications as well as customs, trade and people movement, and well worth watching the whole way for anyone interested in the debate. This coverage along with this in the Daily Telegraph represents something of a widening realisation of the implications for the border. Fears for security and the economy was also the focus of the Daily Telegraph piece by Peter Foster, Europe Editor. You’ll have to register to read.
